Greg Ellie’s life is a testament to resilience, tradition, and the pursuit of integrity. Born in Haiti to a family of entrepreneurs, his father was once the country’s largest banana exporter. However, political unrest forced the family to leave when Greg was three years old. They moved to Miami, where his father instilled in him a deep love for America and a belief in the opportunities it offered. His father’s declining health and eventual death during Greg’s college years solidified his determination to carry forward the family legacy.
An accomplished athlete, Greg passionately pursued tennis, earning a scholarship And playing in the minor leagues. However, the demands of providing for his growing family led him to leave his dreams of professional tennis behind. Instead, he balanced his roles as a tennis coach and a traveling minister alongside his wife, Marie. Greg eventually began a career in the insurance industry after a friend suggested he try it, and he realized what an impact he could make on his community by helping provide financial security. Greg established Prosperity Group Advisors and has been helping people change their lives for over 35 years. Through this journey, Greg’s faith and commitment to his family remained unwavering, even during immense challenges, such as navigating Marie’s cancer diagnosis in 2011. Her passing in 2016, after years of treatment, was both a heartbreak and a catalyst for Greg’s dedication to securing a legacy for their children.
